Muckross Park closed out their season in some style last Friday when they won the Schoolgirls Senior Plate final with a 7-0 win against Mount Sackville with joint captains Sophie Barnwell and Molly Cole leading the way.
It was one of over 20 finals up for decision in the past week as the Leinster season came to a close. At Junior level, Mount Anville completed a minor double by first seeing off Muckross in their league 2-1 thanks to goals from Isabelle McCarthy and Natasha Twomey.
They duly added the cup title with a 3-0 win over Wesley College with Twomey, Sarah o’Dea and Julie Ringrose the scorers.
The first came from Twomey’s penalty corner rebound before O’Dea took the direct route. Ringrose then completed the win with a smart run from just outside the circle before unleashing an unstoppable shot.
Alexandra College won the Junior Premier title in dramatic fashion when they beat Loreto Foxrock on penalties while Loreto on the Green won in the same manner in the Junior 1 final, seeing off the Teresian School.
At Junior 4 level, Skerries CS won their first ever title, getting the better of St Wolstan’s while there was a debut trophy for East Glendalough as they annexed the Minor D league with a 2-1 win over Muckross Park.
