The IHA announced on Tuesday that the senior and junior interpros will not take place in the 2011/12 hockey season
Leinster’s seniors finished runners-up in both the men’s and women’s interprovincials last weekend at Serpentine Avenue, unable to emulate the heroics of their junior counterparts who completed a double at Grange Road.
With the introduction of the CPP this season and the changed timing of this year’s interprovincial event, like the other teams this weekend, Victor Shaw has picked a much changed Leinster women’s panel from last year.
Recently-crowned Leinster champions Glenanne make up the mainstays of the province’s side for this weekend’s Interprovincial tournament, set to be held in Serpentine Avenue.
According to this morning’s Examiner – and subsequently on Southern Fried – the U-21 interprovincial tournament is set to be scrapped for the coming season.
