Leinster Boys Junior Cup final
Wesley College 2 (A Walker 2) St Andrew’s 1 (M Guilfoyle)
Adam Walker’s pair of pacy drag-flicks saw Wesley come from a goal down to beat St Andrew’s and land the Leinster Schoolboys Junior Cup title at Grange Road.

The Booterstown side had taken the lead 10 minutes into the first half through Max Guilfoyle. He calmly slotted the ball into a vacant goal from a counter-attack after Dylan Thompson did most of the build-up work.
Wesley dominated the majority of the rest of the half in an attempt to get back into the game, winning six penalty corners that were thwarted by good goalkeeping from Matthew O’Brien-Houlihan.
Wesley eventually leveled the game from a corner where Craig MacKay spun for Walker to drag into the goal.
The Ballinteer outfit then went 2-1 up about midway through the second half when, yet again, Walker dragged with pace into the goal.
Wesley had chances to get the security of a third goal but a few reverse stick shots from Craig MacKay, Ben Stewart and Josh Boyd went over the bar and a gilt-edged opportunity at the back post was missed.

St Andrews had a couple of late chances through two corners, the second of which was well saved by Alan O’Donnell.
Skipper Craig MacKay lifted the trophy on his side’s behalf as both teams now look forward to doing it all again next Friday in the league final at 3pm in KH.
Earlier in the day, St Andrew’s won the Under-13 Cup final with a 2-1 win over Wesley, reversing the Junior result with goals from Jack Flanagan and Ginu Nam.
It has been a busy week for finals with High School winning the Minor A league in Booterstown with a 2-1 win over Wesley. They have their eyes on a double following their 4-1 win over Newpark in the Minor Cup semi-final with Ben Pasley, Charlie Beatty, Oscar Maguire and Andrew Farrelly scoring the goals.
