Players in: Sinead Loughran (Monkstown), Sorcha Clarke (UCD), Avril Dooley O’Carroll (Trinity), Lynne Fröschle (Club an der Alster), Tara Melvin (Bowdon Hightown), Emma Paul (Bray), Caoimhe Byrne (Newbridge)
Players out: Jilly Ringwood, Michelle Hack, Erika Hinkson (Old Alex), Sara Quill (Australia)

Overview: Pembroke can look forward to the new season with plenty of optimism with some excellent additions to a panel that already has Gillian Pinder and Emily Beatty. Due to injury, they did not play too much together in the early part of last season but, in tandem with Sinead Loughran and the returning Sorcha Clarke, the side has lots of pace and attacking potential.

Tara Melvin is an interesting addition; she won the All-Ireland Schools with Colaiste Iognaid and played in the English top tier with Bowdon Hightown. Lynne Fröschle played with Club an der Alster – the reigning German champions – last season.

Teenagers Katie Jane Marshall, Laura Noble and goalkeeper Iseult Cambay already EY experience under their belt and will become ever more prominent.

Gavin Groves is focusing on coaching this year and – following back-to-back Under-16 interpro wins – he is looking forward to first season with Pembroke: “I’m excited to see this team play. I know this league is full of quality and I have no doubt that this team possesses all the talent to challenge and that’s the goal for the year; we must set such targets.”
