Overview: Ivan Ovington is back for his third spell at the club having come in to assist at the end of last season, freeing up Lisa Jacob to focus on the playing side. He is joined on the ticket by Scott Lowry and they take on a side that has added a lot of quality during the summer, most of whom are back at the club after spells away.

Fiona Connery is due to return following a broken hand in the Over-40s World Cup, but last year’s captain and top scorer Fiona Bradish will be out for the season following ACL surgery this summer. She is joining the management staff.

Highly experienced Pamela Smithwick returns to goal after having her first child. She replaces Jess Jecko who is now a central goalkeeper in the USWNT after some World Cup retirements.

After three close-run attempts to qualify, Old Alex are looking forward to their inaugural year in the EYHL. Spurred by some new additions, there is a determination to be competitive and see how they rank among the nation’s best teams. Sarah Robinson and Millie O’Donnell are due to return from Australia before Christmas too, both joining from UCD.
