Overview: Denis Pritchard returns to CI after a 12 year absence. He last coached the men’s first team 2006 before having spells with Bandon men, UCC ladies and the Irish Senior ladies, winning medals with each, as well as a spell in Belgium with Victory. He brings with him a wealth of experience and this year will be assisted by Philip Oakley.

The issue for C of I this year will be squad depth. A number of players have picked up injuries over the summer and as yet have not returned to training. The team will have to rely on a number of players from their youth section. One to look out for this year is Kevin O’Dea who captained the Irish U-16s this summer and the club have high hopes for him.

The club are also delighted to welcome back Johnny Bruton. Bruton returns after almost ten years between Australia and Dublin. He will be a key player for the team this year. Goal scoring from open play has proved difficult over the last few years but the Garryduff men are confident that Bruton will go a long way to addressing this issue.
