Players Out: Orlagh O’Shea (Old Alex), Rebecca Mercer (Exeter University), Jade Lamont (Nottingham University), Laura Johnston (Lisnagarvey)

Overview: Belfast Harlequins will look to build on a reasonably upbeat second season in the league since promotion with World Cup stars Lizzie Colvin and Zoe Wilson driving things on. They have added well to their panel, too, with Jodie Kee and Linzi Hamilton coming in while Claire Weir returns after having a baby.

Young players Alex Kelly and Ella Agnew have joined the first team squad this year after experience in the lower teams and the club are hopeful Claire Kirkpatrick will return in the New Year. The aim for Davy Frazer and his team is a top four finish in the EYHL and to go one step further in the Irish Senior Cup. Last season saw them reach the semi-final for the first time in their club history. A return to the local cups gives them another shot at silverware.

Nicola McCormick has joined the support staff as manager and physio this year and Peter Pollock is continuing his role as second team coach as well as assistant coach of the first team.
