Last season, they only escaped the relegation playoffs with a final day 2-0 win over Ulster Elks. With dynamic midfielder Gillian Pinder on board and the boundless energy of Emily Beatty – when she returns from injury – and Aisling Naughton gives them an attacking look.

Rosario Villagra – from Argentina via Beeston in England – joins, too, while underage internationals KJ Marshall, Laura Noble and Gaby Lewis have also added to a solid foundation. Ailbhe Coyle returns from UCC to captain the squad for this season to give extra grit to the defensive line. On the debit side, Rachel Scott has emigrated to Australia while Caroline Hill steps away from the panel due to work commitments.
