Robyn Chambers – once she returns from a broken wrist – and former Irish international Jenny McAuley, following the birth of her second child, are also key additions to the panel which is ambitious to move away from the relegation zone, a fate they escaped via a playoff against Lurgan.

Rhiannon Coulter also comes on board having come through the junior section of the club and is currently a member of the Ulster Under-17 squad. Friendly matches have brought wins over Dungannon and Queens as well as a draw with Ards.

On the debit side, Fyona Flinn steps out to pursue her career as a yoga instructor while Ruth Miller is off to Australia for a year as a medic.

Their initial aim is to be the best placed Ulster club in the EYHL and they will be “approaching the season with a top four mentality with the hope of realising this ambition”.
