Overview: Promoted UCD have benefitted from a healthy influx of players following their promotion from the Leinster leagues to the national competition with Ben Campbell – scoring five times in five preason games – and Aaron Bailey among their key additions.

Last season’s top scorer Jeremy Duncan was key to the club’s success and he has decided to stay on for another year as they try and retain their status in the top flight of Irish hockey. David Nolan, Ben McCrea, Stephen Dawson and Jazze Henry are other crucial players. Six players were part of the Leinster Under-21 squad last week with three earning Irish Under-21 calls.

Between the posts, Conor Quinn will battle with Dawson for the number one spot while Elun Hack continues as coach for a productive first season last time around.
