Overview: The big addition is Olympian Mitch Darling who should help with their main issue which was their forward line last season. Indeed, their three main additions are former UCD striker Shane O’Donoghue and Kevin Mullins who broke a number of scoring records with Clontarf.

Otherwise, it is a young squad with an extra year of experience under their belt and a top four finish will be the target after last season’s near miss. Young players like Ben Walker, Peter Lynch, Alex Flynn, Alex O’Regan and Rob McCollum could make their claims for increased pitch time.

Fred Morris has moved to the Netherlands where he made his debut in the Hoofdklasse with Almere in the last two weeks. They will also hope Luke Madeley, Jamie Carr and Daragh Walsh hit the ground running following a stint in Malaysia where they played professionally for the summer, returning to Ireland this week.

Luke Chadwick in midfield is a big loss as he also moved to Holland where he will play with Voordaan with another Three Rock old boy Phelie Maguire.
