Overview:  Instonians return to the national stage after an absence of one season as they swept all before them in Ulster and subsequently the playoffs for promotion to the EY Hockey League.

They are still in the process of rebuilding and looking to re-establish the glory years that saw them win both Irish Senior Cups and Club Champioships. These success took them into European Competition in seven different years. Former Irish international Steven Redpath continues as coach into his second season at the helm and will be supported by James Corry who is the first team and club captain.

Inst have picked up a number of strong players from the Ulster leagues with Portadown’s Zach McClelland and Lisnagarvey’s Johnny Beckett both part of the Ulster Under-21 side, linking up with Ben Palmer. Goalkeeping options have been boosted by Peter Bingham and Sam Brown.

William Robinson’s drag-flicks will be a key source of goals. Mark Irwin looks set to take a step back but his know-how could be called on from to time to aid their cause.
