Overview: The big change this season for Banbridge is in the composition of their front line with Stevie Dowds so long the centre-piece of their attack. His move to London means they do not have access to a man who scored 17 times last term and many more during his Bann career.

His departure will be offest by the return of Dane Ward from London where he played with Surbiton for a couple of seasons. Matthew Allister from Annadale is another strong addition while there is lots of know-how in the likes of Irish stars Eugene Magee, Matthew Bell and Drew Carlisle along with Peter and Philip Brown and Bruce McCandless.

In preseason, the club got some top level preparation in Nottingham, playing English Premier Division sides Beeston and Loughborough University as part of their build-up to the Euro Hockey League coming to Havelock Park – a huge moment for the club and Ireland in general to host Round 1.
