Alison McNeill has named her Irish Under-16 panel for a 6 Nations Tournament to be held in Belgium this summer with no less than eight counties represented in a diverse squad.
Derry, Dublin, Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Galway, Down and Antrim all have representatives in the panel.Speaking about the squad and upcoming tournament McNeill said “We would like to thank all the players for their commitment and effort at all sessions.
“We are looking forward to some highly competitive matches against Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain and England.”
Greenfields’ Sarah Dunleavy and Ursuline Thurles’s Caoimhe Purdue are the two who played with the Irish Under-16s last summer in Bremen with the rest newcomers to this level for 2016.
The panel features two changes from the side that played in Scotland at Easter in a three-game series.
