Initially, they will play in two four-team groups over the from which the top two will qualify for the knock-out phases. The winner of those playoffs qualifies for next year’s EYHL while the runner-up faces an all-or-nothing fixture with the ninth place finisher in the national league.
From Ulster, Instonians and Kilkeel have already pinned down their playoff ticket while Bandon and UCC are on course in Munster.
Tarf and UCD shared a 0-0 draw at Mount Temple which leaves the former in second place on nine points with the students on eight points.
YM are four points back after their bye weekend and will look to close the gap when they meet Avoca next Saturday.
