Loreto gets dancing to raise funds for a replacement pitch

Loreto is hosting a dancing extravaganza – Let’s Dance Loreto – this coming Saturday, April 2 at the Pavilion in Leopardstown to raise much-needed funds for a replacement pitch. From the twist to foxtrot, waltz to disco battle, the variety of dances are sure to provide a great night’s entertainment to the audience.

The line-up of dancers includes some well-known faces on the hockey scene including Paul Fitzpatrick and Ian Clarke – Loreto first and second team coaches – along with Ed Dwyer of Ed Sports who’ll be dazzling the crowd in a Bollywood battle. Loreto firsts captain Niamh Small is dancing the quick step while Caitriona O’Kelly is taking on the mambo.

All in the name of a good cause, the team of 32 dancers have been put through their paces over the past seven weeks and have discovered muscles, aches and pains in places they didn’t know existed.

The judging panel also includes some well-known names including Ireland’s best known gardener and TV presenter Diarmuid Gavin; RTE TV presenter Anne Cassin; choreographer and performer Joe Conlon; and Let’s Dance choreographer Michelle who has been observing the dancers since February.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the event and can be purchased online here for €25: https://www.iregister.ie/v2/events/lets-dance-loreto/

You can also sponsor the dancers on their online fundraising pages here under Our Fundraisers: https://www.ifundraise.ie/2327_loreto-hockey-club.html
