They began with a 4-1 win over Avoca on Saturday with a 4-1 away win over Avoca with a trio of youngsters on the mark. Hannah McDermott, back from a spell at the University of Indiana, was on the mark twice while Anna Roopnarinesingh and Abbie Russell also chipped in with goals.

They followed up with a 3-0 win over Trinity on Monday evening in their back match with another returnee, Leanne King from Slough, scoring one while Russell and Louise McCollum scored the others.

It extends their winning run to four games in the league as their new look side bounce back from their opening day loss to Loreto.

The Beaufort side continued their perfect run in the division with a 4-1 home win over Genesis but they did not have it all their own way. Aoife Henry’s goal had the Stillorgan club in contention at 2-1 down going into the latter phases of the tie before Loreto ran up another couple – Ali Meeke netted twice with Gerard’s girls Sarah O’Loughlin and Elena Tice also on the mark.

Muckross kept up their inspring run since promotion to the division with Nicci Daly scoring against former club Glenanne with Katie Fitzgerald and Mia Jennings on the score sheet in a 3-0 win. Next on their agenda is the big showdown with Loreto with one or both set to see their perfect run come to an end.

Corinthian moved up to fourth place in the division with their third win. Like Alex, it was their young troops who did the damage with Sarah Torrans on the double with Jessica McGran and Georgia Burns running up their quartet of goals in a 4-2 success against Rathgar who await their first win.

North Kildare are also waiting for a maiden win but they recorded their third draw of the campaign, holding Trinity at bay in a 0-0 tie at the Maws. They take on Avoca next week.
