In a whistle-stop highlights tour around a couple of games in the Netherlands and Belgium last weekend, David Harte enjoyed the most fruitful weekend with a clean sheet in Kampong’s 3-0 win over Rotterdam in the Dutch Hoofdklasse’s opening game of the season.
After some classy goals, Harte produces a real cruncher of a save around the 1.45 mark to complete his clean sheet.
Andy McConnell played his part in a thriller for Hurley, creating his side’s second goal in a 3-3 draw with Push though his side was left to rue a last minute equaliser.
It was a similar story for the Irish trio of Conor Harte, Alan Sothern and Chris Cargo at Racing Club de Bruxelles who led Braxgata until the last seconds before drawing 3-3 on day two of the Belgian Honour division.
Some quality strikes in the women’s Hoofdklasse as Amsterdam were far too strong for Wageningen, running out 4-0 winners.
Back in Belgium, Daring won a thriller against Oree with Tanguy and Jof Cosyns on the mark as they continue their build-up for the EHL and a date with Monkstown
