Ireland’s Over-50s finished second in the Home Nations last weekend in Lisnagarvey, beating Scotland and Wales but missed out on the title at the hands of England.
They kicked off the tournament with a win on Friday night v Wales with a 3-1 win with Bruce Agnew, Willie Cooper and Mark Murray all on the mark.
England, though, proved too strong in a hard fought game on the Saturday afternoon, falling 1-3 with Marty Collins getting the Irish goal.
But they bounced back in impressive form to secure runners up spot by beating Scotland 4-1 with Garvey man Mark Murray scoring a hat trick with Bruce Agnew also on the mark.
