The IHA have announced the new dates for the 2013/14 Irish Hockey League with the finals brought forward from the weekend of May 3 and 4 to April 5 and 6.
The changes came about following the announcement of the Champions Challenge I for that week with Ireland’s senior men and women due to play in Malaysia and Glasgow, respectively.
The first round of the IHL has been brought forward by two weeks to March 1, the date originally set as the final round of Leinster men’s division one games and the second last round of women’s games.
Subsequent rounds will be played on the weekends of March 8, 15, 22 and 29 before the finals weekend is played on April 6.
The Irish Senior Cup, meanwhile, remains on its original dates but the final could yet be moved from February 22 and 23 to May 10 and 11 dependent on how round three pans out.
