Graham Shaw’s Ireland U-18 Boys secured promotion back to the European A Division with a comfortable 4-0 win over hosts Poland in Gasawa this afternoon.
Harry Morris continued his superb scoring form with an opening goal in the 14th minute and Alex Burns followed up soon after for a 2-0 half-time.
Poland, needing a win to have any chance of promotion, lost their discipline in the second half with Mateusz Mazany, Tomasz Konczal and Michal Dawid all serving yellow card sin-binnings.
During the third of these, Michael Robson confirmed the win from the penalty stroke spot in the 62nd minute for 3-0 and Simon Wolfe closed out the result in the final minute.
Ireland finish off the tournament against fellow-promoted side Russia on Sunday with a draw guaranteeing top spot from the tournament.
