News in brief: Wicklow pitch opening

** To celebrate the opening of Wicklow hockey club’s new pitch in East Glendalough, they are organising a series of tournaments on Saturday, September 8.

They are welcoming 12 teams each at U-8, U-10 and U-12 level while there are spaces for 16 adult mixed teams. ** Three Rock Rovers will have car parking available from €5 for the series of Marlay Park concerts later this week. These include Kasabian and High Flying Birds on Thursday, August 23 (from 5pm), David Guetta, Example and Rizzle Kicks on Friday, August 24 (from 4pm) and Van Morrison and Tom Jones on Saturday, August 25 (from 3.30pm).
