In the coming week, both the Leinster men’s and ladies branches will be holding EGMs relating to the potential merger of the two branches together with the South East Branch of the IHA.
The men will hold their EGM on Thursday, September 30 in Grange Road immediately after the men’s Branch’s September General Meeting – which begins at 7.30pm – to consider the following motion: “to transfer the functions and administration of hockey and also all Assets and Liabilities of the LBIHA to the Leinster Hockey Association Limited at midnight on the night of Thursday, October 14 2010 and the Branch shall stand dissolved on the completion of the said transfer or in any event on December 31, 2010 (whichever is the earlier).”
The ladies, meanwhile, host their EGM in Serpentine Avenue on October 4 at 8pm with the following special resolution:
“The Company will be wound up voluntarily and that Victor Smith ACA be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding up and that after the satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities any property whatsoever shall be transferred to The Leinster Hockey Association Ltd in pursuance with Clause 6 of the Memorandum of Association.
