Sherriff takes on Pembroke ladies coaching reins

Justin Sherriff will coach Pembroke’s ladies in division one in the coming season, hoping to transfer the lessons learned from his glittering playing career to the training field.

A centre-pin of Pembroke men’s most successful periods, Sherriff was also one of the top scorers on the all-time Irish international list, scoring 46 times in just 91 caps.

On the coaching front, he has previously taken charge of the Dragons men’s second team in Belgium – where he played professionally – and also took charge of their Colts and Fillies section.

In addition to coaching the Pembroke ladies, Sherriff is also the current Head Coach of the Leinster Ladies U-18 side.

He will be assisted by Monkstown first teamer Alec Barrett who has coaching experience with Trinity and Railway Union where he led their ladies 2nd to the Division 2 title in 2009.
