The event will also include a family fun day with a barbecue, music, bouncy castles for the kids and much more. The football challenge will take on a 32-team format with three group games guaranteed and then it goes into a knock-out format.
The entry cost is €125 for five to seven players with entry including barbecue food and soft drinks and is open to over 16s only. A ladies competition could be held, subject to demand.
CRY was founded in March 2002 by parents who experienced the effects of sudden and unexplained death within their families. The organisation fundraise and provide ongoing support for the CRYP centre; raise awareness about sudden cardiac death and provide counselling and support to families affected.
