Wesley finish fifth in Europe

Leinster schools senior chmapions, Wesley College finished fifth in their European Competition in HDM, the Hague, Holland over the Easter weekend.

They finished the tournament with an impressive 8-3 win over Wellington school in the fifth/sixth place playoff with Jamie Tobin’s hat-trick bringing his tournament total to six.

Wesley beat Millfield School twice and drew with eventual finalists, top Dutch club Push (they lost the final to host club HDM 4-1) but did not qualify for the upper playoffs after two losses to Ring Pass.

Kristian Fitzgerald was named as goalkeeper of the tournament.
